Current Vacancies

We are seeking a skilled and motivated 5-Axis CNC Miller to join our Precision Engineering team. Working in our machine shop, you will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances, for the motorsport & aerospace industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis)
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to manufacture components to exacting F1 & aerospace standards
  • Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, CMM knowledge advantageous)
  • Complete Works Order Route Cards accurately and maintain full traceability of components
  • Edit and optimise CNC programs where authorised
  • Liaise with customer contacts regarding job requirements, technical queries
  • Contribute to the quoting process by providing time estimates and technical input for new and existing work
  • Excellent attention to detail and takes pride in a clean and organised workplace producing high quality work.
  • Report any quality issues, non-conformances, or concerns immediately

 

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience operating CNC milling machines in a precision engineering environment
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
  • Competent in the use of precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
  • Competent and confident in self-inspecting your own work to verify conformance to specifications
  • Strong attention to detail with a quality-first mindset
  • Understanding of material properties and machining characteristics
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
  • Willingness to work within a controlled quality system and follow documented procedures

 

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in an  (AS9100) aerospace, defence, or (ISO9001) motorsport environment
  • Experience machining challenging materials (titanium, Inconel, stainless steel)
  • CNC programming experience (Heidenhain)
  • CAD/CAM software experience – Hypermill

 

Hours:

Basic 40hr week.

Flexible start/finish times available as long as basic hours covered & depending on work schedule.

 

Site Open Hours:

6.00am-6.00pm Mon – Thurs

6.00am-2.00pm Fri

 

Holidays

20 days holiday, plus additional day for every year worked up to 25 days. Plus bank holidays,
